Ed Quilty, a well accomplished senior business executive who has consistently led, built and transformed organizations, has been CEO of four publicly-listed companies. Ed currently is a Board Member and Advisor to several companies in the healthcare sector, including a role as member of the Board of Directors at Gentell, as well as responsibilities in corporate development.
Prior to that, Ed served as the Chairman and CEO of the Board of Derma Sciences Inc., a publicly held corporation with products for tissue regeneration and advanced wound care. Under Ed’s direction and leadership the Company grew from under $5 million in sales with less than 10 employees to become a leader in its industry with revenues fast approaching $100 million and over 250 employees.
During his career, Quilty has been CEO of four publicly traded healthcare companies. He has led and managed numerous M&A transactions and financings with a total value of over $2 billion. Mr. Quilty served as Chairman of the Board of Palatin Technologies, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company specializing in peptide drug design for diagnostic and therapeutic agents. He was President/CEO of MedChem Products, Inc., a developer and manufacturer of specialty medical products which was acquired by C. R. Bard. He served as President / CEO of Life Medical Sciences, Inc., a developer and manufacturer of specialty medical products including wound healing agents. Life Medical Sciences was purchased by MedChem Products, Inc. and Ed became CEO of the combined company.
His career started with Baxter/American Hospital Supply in 1974 and he held a number of sales, marketing and executive positions. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Missouri State University, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Ohio University.
